First Baptist Church offers a
variety of ministries Children's Ministry: Children are important at First Baptist Church. On Sunday mornings nursery is available for children 3 and under. Children worship with their families during the first part of the worship service and then, during the sermon, children age 4 to 5th grade enjoy their own children's church. Following worship we offer Sunday Bible Adventure for all ages. During the summer it's Vacation Bible School. Our children enjoy games, stories and crafts centered around a biblical theme. Teen Moms: Services for young mothers through age 22. Apartment Ministry: We provide ministries that provide physical and spiritual help to low income families that live at Lakeside Tower. Nursing Home: First Baptist Church leads worship the 2nd & 3rd Sunday of every month, 3PM at Hillcrest Nursing Home and weekly worship at Paradise Park on Wednesdays. Hunger: First Baptist Church supports local food pantries, international efforts such as CROP walk, and gives direct aid to hungry people. Recovery Ministries: On Wednesdays FBC hosts NA and OA meetings. We also support the ministry of chemical dependency recovery home BAM House. ESL: English as a Second Language classes meet on Mondays 8-9:30 PM - September - May. |
